As an anti-capitalist ministry, Abolition Apostles is committed to creating new forms of organizing outside of the nonprofit. Given their funding by capitalist philanthropy and the neoliberal state, nonprofits will never work for the destruction of racial capitalism that is necessary in order to realize the abolition of jail and prisons. We refuse the reproduction of alienated labor under the guise of doing “good work.” Instead, we demand organizing that is voluntary, creative, flexible, life-giving, and liberatory for all.
